Top 5 worst dating venues

If you are in the early – mid stages of dating then you need to stay as far away from these places as you possibly can. In no paticullar order:

Your parent’s house –
If you want to test their wits and get them running the 100m faster than Lindford ‘Lunchbox’ Christie then suggest a dinner date with your parents. It’s OK later on in the relationship, but too early can look too keen.

The local swimming pool or beach –
Ask yourself, do you really want them to see the hair protruding from your bikini or the pot belly you pretend you don’t have! Even if you don’t have these two things, people get very funny about how they look and showing too much flesh too early on.

This won’t get you any votes either!

Anywhere with kids -
Early dates and places where there are screaming kids just don’t mix. In fact it may get so annoying that you end up saying something about the fact that you never want kids or that they all need drowning which may hinder the relationship from day one. Avoid the little nippas like the plague.

Cheap and nasty restaurants –
Do you want them walking away from the date thinking you are a complete cheapskate? Not only will they be thinking you are a bit of a scrooge BUT they will no doubt be sitting on the bog for the next couple of days with chronic diarrhea. Not a way to be remembered.

Somewhere where all your or their mates hang out –
You really don’t want all your mates in the pub to be looking over and giggling at you dropping your best lines or even worse, have their mates eyeing you up and meeting them in the toilet on the sly to discuss how the date is going. Try to get yourself out of town where you don’t know anyone and you can go to the bar completely anonymously without the bar owned throwing you a wink and saying “you got in there yet”!

READER COMMENTS:

Great advice. NEVER EVER take them to your parents too early - freaks them out no end!
