Online dating is a huge business and looks like it will continue to be into the future, but where is it all going?
Well you now have free dating sites, social networking, traditional membership sites, very niche sites… so where does technology go from here?
3D virtual worlds would you believe. Places you can decide what to wear on a particular day, to how you want your hair spiked, even down to your character size. These worlds are really not that far away as we thirst for more simulation with our experiences online.
This could be a gay bar?!
A number of sites have already developed these 3D environments although in most cases interaction and choice are relatively limited. Red 5 studios president Mark Kerm predicts that “a social-networking site without a 3-D universe will look like a dinosaur” five years from now.
So there you have it – we are all going to become Pixel People!
